  1. Beat egg whites with the powdered suxker with an electric beater for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Blend almonds and mix them with flour, cinnamon and lemon peel before you turn it in egg white mixture. Cover the dough and place it in the refrigerator overnight.
  3. The next day, mix the glaze together with an electric beater for about 3 minutes.
  4. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and place on a floured surface.
  5. Roll out the dough so it is about 1 cm thick and then use a star shape to poke cake stars out.
  6. Add the star cakes on wax paper lined baking sheets and garnish each star with icing
  7. Bake cake the stars at 170 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Be sure to take the cakes out before the icing begins to take colour.
