Instructions
  1. Melt the butter and mix with sugar
  2. Add eggs, one at a time and beat until light and frothy
  3. Sift and stir cocoa, flour, baking soda and vanilla sugar in the batter alternately with buttermilk
  4. Pour batter into a large baking pan with baking paper
  5. Brush with water
  6. Baking time approx 40-50 min at the bottom in a 200 degree preheated oven (convection 180 degrees)
  7. Check with a knitting needle on the cake is done
  8. Cut out the cake with your favorite Christmas themes and decorate with icing.
